ApPa reaches Special Education Schools

Our educational program ApPaLearning to Program and Programming to Learn, intended for children aged 4 – 7, will reach special education schools in the district of Sarriá-Sant Gervasi. The Villa Joana and Pedralbes schools will be the first to participate in these activities, which aim to encourage creativity, entrepreneurship, collaborative work and logical thinking from a very young age.

Training in special education centres will be divided into two sessions:

1. Training and work session: ApPa educators meet with teachers and introduce them to the resources and programming activities that can be used with students. ApPa teachers and educators jointly decide on the best resources and jointly develop the activity to be carried out in the classroom.
2. Practical session: ApPa teachers and educators carry out in the classroom the activity developed during the previous session.

The ApPa project was launched in 2015 in the Sarriá-Sant Gervasi district, with the collaboration of CRP, the District and ORANGE.

ApPa is an educational project which aims to bring the world of computer programming in schools and leisure centers. It concentrates in those educators that work with boys and girls from 4 to 7 years of age. Since 2014, it has reached more than 1,500 students and we see how it continues to grow day by day.
